Live-Action Attack On Titan Images Show New Character And More

Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine’s July issue featured new still images from the live-action Attack on Titan movie. The stills feature, among others, Eren (Haruma Miura) giving the “offering my heart” salute, Sasha (Nanami Sakuraba) in action with her bow and arrows, and Shikishima (Hiroki Hasegama), humanity’s strongest man and a key new character created for the film. The images can be seen in the gallery at the bottom of the page.

Attack on Titan is the first of two planned live action movie adaptations of Hajime Isayama’s popular manga. The story takes place 100 years after Titans suddenly appear on Earth. The colossal monstrosities being human civilization to the brink of collapse, forcing the remaining humans to build a giant wall to defend themselves. A century of peaceful living is shattered when the wall is broken.
The film is directed by Shinji Higuchi, and hits Japanese theaters on August 1.
