1. The Rolls Royce Ghost
The release of the “baby Phantom” back in 2010 received mixed reviews. Some saw the car as a welcomed addition to the lineup while others viewed it as a bastardized, shrunken version of the Rolls flagship. However, one step inside and it was painfully obvious that the Ghost was far more advanced and updated than its aging older brother. The Ghost performed better, incorporated advanced technology and was a true driver’s car. Today, the proof has been in the numbers as the Ghost is now the brand’s best-selling nameplate – by far. Pricing for the Ghost begins at right under $300,000.
2. The Rolls Royce Wraith
The two-door version of the Ghost is called the Wraith. The term Wraith is defined as, “a ghost or ghostlike image of someone, especially one seen shortly before or after their death.” The name makes more sense when you realize its capabilities. The Wraith houses a 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 under the hood producing a remarkable 632hp making this the most powerful car Rolls Royce has ever created. However, Rolls Royce doesn’t advertise the massive coupe as a sports car. The company describes the Wraith as a ‘Super GT’ designed for fast, effortless touring in comfort and style. One of the most notable features of the Wraith is something you’d never get to witness unless you’re inside. The optional Starlight Headliner features over 1300 fiber optic lights hand-woven into the leather. Oh, and even though it only has two doors, they’re suicide-style like the rears of the Ghost. The Wraith’s base price is around $305,000.
3. The Rolls Royce Dawn
The newest addition to the family is the super-sexy Rolls Royce Dawn. And even though it may appear to simply be a chop-topped version of the Wraith, that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, Rolls Royce has stated that over 80% of the body differs from its hard-top sibling. The convertible top silently raises or lowers in 22 seconds and can be done at speeds up to 31 mph which always makes for a show in a school zone. The massive convertible will scoot to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds thanks to the voracious V12 under the hood. The Dawn’s hefty price tag starts at almost $340,000 but with options easily exceeds $400,000.
