It's an interesting question to this writer, personally. When I was a lowly intern at Wizardmagazine in 1999 or early 2000, I read every appearance of The Punisher up to that point and compiled a wanted poster for the character, which was featured in the polybag of one of our issues to accompany an interview with then-incoming The Punisher writer Garth Ennis.
I remember a panel where I counted 37 people Frank Castle killed.
Morph Costumes have put together an infographic, which you can see below, based on, according to the writer, compiling their comic collections to make a study.
Here, he's out-killed by both Deadpool and Wolverine...but there's definitely not a complete reading of these kill-crazy characters' libraries at play.
Castle is credited with only 34 murders, so they must have either decided that those kills were in self-defense (the New York State Troopers assured me that those, among others, were not when I was researching my article) and therefore not murder, or maybe the comics they studied didn't include that one.
Nevertheless, it's an interesting look at what I assume is the more contemporary Marvel Universe...!
