Well, this might not excite you but if you have been a
Whatsapp and a Viber user then you will love the security features that come
with BBM. For instance:
- You choose how to share your information - BBM uses PINs instead of phone numbers or email addresses so that it's more private, and you always control who can contact you. This means not every Tom, Dick and Harry who has you in their phonebook can contact you on BBM. You have to give them access.
- You chose your contacts – 2-way opt-in means you have control over who is able to message you, or who you can message for that matter.
What's more, this version of BBM allows you to chat both on
your iPhone and your iPad without the need to jailbreak your iPad.
But like with any other newly launched app, there are some
setbacks being experiecied by those who already have the app such as:
- You have to wait in line to gain access to the BBM servers. I guess this is due to the demand this app has received.
- Secondly, it seems to be un-naturally slow and in some cases, it doesn't open at all. Again this could be attributed to the influx of users who have jumped at the opportunity to use what was once a very exclusive app.
Whatever the case, let's hope you do enjoy the BBM
experience while the servers last....
