Comedian Charlie Murphy Has Died Aged 57

Stand-up comedian Charlie Murphy has died aged 57.
He was well-known as Eddie Murphy's older brother, as well as being popular and successful in his own right.
According to Charlie's manager, he died from leukemia Wednesday morning in a New York hospital.

Prior to his death he had been going undergoing chemotherapy to treat the illness and family members are believe to shocked as it was thought he was on the road to recovery.

TMZ have claimed that family would call him frequently, and he'd even joke they were calling too much.
He had a recurring segment on the Comedy Central series called 'Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories,' which featured him comically recalling his interactions with 80s stars such as Prince and Rick James - one of which is featured in the video above.
He also co-wrote some of Eddie Murphy's movies, such as Norbit and Vampire in Brooklyn. He co-starred in Are We There Yet?The Boondocks and Black Jesus.

Murphy's wife, Tisha Taylor Murphy, died in 2009 after a battle with cancer. The couple married in 1997 and had two kids together: daughter Ava and son Xavier. Murphy also had another child from a previous relationship.
RIP, a comedy legend.
