'The Fast And The Furious' Jetta Just Sold For A Pathetically Low Amount

It's a good price for a used Jetta but awful for a movie car.
 The Volkswagen Jetta from “The Fast and the Furious,” aka Jesse’s car, was just sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction for $42,000. It’s a good thing the car’s owner, former “Malcom in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz didn’t need the money. Although the Jetta was in one of the greatest movies ever made it’s not too special under the hood. It is front-wheel drive, automatic and powered by a ho-hum (and essentially stock) 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It did however come with signatures from Paul Walker, director Rob Cohen and Chad Lindberg (Jesse).In case you forgot about the memorable scene that made Jesse's Jetta worth $42,000, here it is again. We sort of miss the good old days when the franchise could show a scene featuring two front-wheel-drive cars duking it out on the drag strip.
