At 2015 New York Comic Con, Netflix debuted a trailer for Marvel’s Daredevil Season 2. While Netflix hasn’t yet officially released the trailer online, we’ve included a detailed description of the trailer below.
The trailer opens up with the city and DD lighting up on the streets. Then, various scenes are shown from Daredevil Season 1, including a montage of the best fights and Kingpin glares. Mixed in with the scenes are positive accolades from a variety of reviewers.
Just as the trailer appears to be drawing to a close, the words “Season 2 Coming 2016” flash across the screen.
Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page are sitting in a church, and Father Lantom is talking to Matt. Matt says, “Father, why do I still feel guilty?” Father Lantom replies, “Guilt can be a good thing.”
Then, the scene switches to a hospital. There is a flash of Rosario Dawson’s character Claire Temple, followed by a flash of Foggy, and a flash of Matt in full Daredevil costume. There is also a flash of Elodie Yung putting on her Elektra mask. Father Lantom’s voice can be heard saying, “It’s a call to action. An indication that your work is not yet finished.”
Then, there is shot of police working a crime scene, and someone with a gloved hand picks up a bullet casing with the end of a stick. Karen is looking at an x-ray of a skull, similar to the Punisher logo. There is a shot of someone’s legs walking down a hallway, followed by a shot of the back of someone’s head. It’s Jon Bernthal as The Punisher (Frank Castle), and he’s pulling out a gun. The Punisher says, “Beg.”
Marvel’s Daredevil Season 2 premieres on Netflix in 2016.
