Revealing Eva Green promo has fallen foul of the MPAA.
A new poster for 'Sin City' sequel 'A Dame To Kill For' has fallen foul of the Motion Picture Association of America. The MPAA, the US movie classification board, has banned the promo, featuring Eva Green's character Ava Lord, the titular 'dame to kill for', due to the racy imagery.
According to Page Six, filmmakers Dimension were told that it was being vetoed 'for nudity - curve of under breast and dark nipple/areola circle visible through sheer gown'.
The description is arguably ruder than the poster itself.
According to reports, Dimension are hoping to 'reach a compromise' on the poster before the film is due out in the US on August 22.
The film's out on August 29 over here.
It's the second rather racy image released for the Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller-helmed sequel, with another of Jessica Alba's character Nancy turning up a couple of months back.
Thanks to its lack of nipples, it seemingly sailed through the MPAA's suitability criteria.
Alba and Green join a stellar cast for the sequel, including Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Powers Boothe, Mickey Rourke, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marton Csokas, Dennis Haysbert, Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, Stacy Keach, Lady Gaga and Jeremy Piven.
