Admitting that he doesn't know where the show is headed from here, big picture-wise, Arrow star Stephen Amell says that the Season Three finale took him by surprise as much as anybody else -- but that there's one thing he does know.
"Arrow is done," Amell told E! Online. "No more Arrow suit. I've worn it for the last time."
Of course, we saw Amell back in his Arrow duds for DC's Legends of Tomorrow in the promotional short they released yesterday -- so who's to say that he doesn't just mean he's done being "Arrow?"
After all, he's recently hinted at convention panels that the Green Arrow name change could finally be in the offing soon. There didn't appear to be any immediately obvious changes to the Arrow suit in that promo, but maybe there's some other way that his comments can make sense in the context of that video.
...Of course, there's also the fact that he admits to knowing basically nothing about the season, so he may be speaking not to firm plans but to the appearance presented in the season finale.
You can check out the full interview below.
Arrow returns in the fall for its fourth season, with Damien Darhk and H.I.V.E. serving as the primary antagonists, while other plot threads from the first three seasons will almost certainly continue to play roles with A.R.G.U.S., the League of Assassins and a newly-christened Ra's al Ghul in the form of Malcolm Merlyn.
It will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
